A 60 year old Westville man could be looking at prison time after charged with his
second drunk driving offense within the past four months.
The charge against Albert Nolan is a felony due to him having a previous conviction for driving impaired within the past five years.
According to court documents, on November 21st he was refused
service at Crossroads Lounge in Westville and while leaving the parking lot
flattened one of his tires when he ran over a curb.
Police said his car was halfway on a tree lawn and street with sparks flying off one of his rims as he proceeded northbound on U-S 421.
Responding officers found Nolan after he showed back up at the bar
and was pulled out of his car by staff members to keep him from driving off
again.
In July, Nolan was arrested after seen driving slowly and veering over the
center line on State Road 2 near the fairgrounds.
During a traffic stop, police said Nolan pulled into the National Guard Armory parking
lot and handed the arresting officer his garage door opener.
