Demolition will soon begin at Dunes Plaza to make way for a Kohl's
department store.
A more than $400,000 contract has been awarded to Brandenburg Industrial Service
company out of Bethlehem, Pa.
Mayor Ron Meer said demolition of the building that years ago housed KMart and
Hobby Lobby will start within the next two weeks.
The contract mandates demolition be finished by December 21st.
The old Cinema will also be torn down in the coming months and that site
once sewer upgrades in Dunes Plaza are completed will be occupied by another
undisclosed commercial development.
