Recycling Daylight Savings Time

Just a friendly reminder; the office of the Solid Waste District of La Porte County will be closed Tuesday November 6th, in observance of Election Day and also Monday November 12 in observance of Veteran's Day.

The recycling pickup schedule for the week of November 5th and November 12th will have no delays and running on schedule Monday through Friday.

Residents are kindly asked to please have their recycling toter curbside at 6am to insure proper pickup.

The office of the Solid Waste District of La Porte County will reopen on Wednesday November 7th and Tuesday November 13th at 8am.

If you do have a problem with your recycling pickup those weeks, please call Able Disposal at 1-800-828-2253

Also, don't forget that Daylight Savings Time will end for La Porte County this Sunday, November 4th.

Residents are reminded to turn their clocks back 1 hour on Saturday night before going to sleep.

For those residents working the graveyard shift, the change officially takes effect at 2am on Sunday.
