Police say a man came into the station to report that he had been given a counterfeit money order as payment for a blue 1999 Yamaha YZ-250 dirt bike he owned.

The man told police that he had been approached by a white male in his 30's driving a red Chevy S-10 who wanted to purchase the dirt bike.

According to the report, the suspect gave the man a $984 money order that had not been filled out and an extra $20 in exchange for the dirt bike.

Later that day, police say the man went to the Post Office to cash the money order but was instead told by a worker that they could not cash it due to it being counterfeit.

Currently, police have no usable information on how to locate the suspect.
