Due to very strong winds..a LAKESHORE FLOOD WARNING has been issued for areas along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
The National Weather Service has issued the warning until 2 p.m. tomorrow.
officials say THE REMNANTS OF HURRICANE SANDY MOVING THROUGH THE NORTHEAST part of the state country causing 50 TO 60 mph north winds on Lake Michigan.
Forecasters say winds will SLOWLY DIMINISH tonight and Wednesday.
Until then the persisent strong winds will force water levels to rise and flooding to occur
along with erosion in some of the coastal areas.
Waves will also be large enough to wash over the piers.
