A Michigan City woman struck a NIPSCO pole then was arrested for being drunk.

Friday night...officers were called to Barker Ave and Cleveland Ave. in

Michigan City.

A vehicle had a flat tire and the tire was partially buried in the dirt as

the driver tried driving herself out of the hole.

Police say the vehicle had struck a NIPSCO pole and there was damage to the

right front fender...bumper and headlight.

Police say 59 year old Jane Siebert told officers she was on her way home

from a bar.

According to police...the x-ray technican at I-U Health La Porte Hospital

was arrested with a blood alcohol level more than two times the legal limit.

She was not injured.
