A man is recovering from injuries after running into a dog leash

on his motorcycle outside La Porte.

According to county police....24 year old William Griffin was traveling

Dogwood Dr. next to Pine Lake on his Kawasaki motorcycle.

Suddenly.....there was a dog attached to a leash stretching

across the road.

He tried to avoid the leash but was unable to...and wound up

crashing on the pavement.

Police say the owner of the dog saw him coming and tried dropping

the leash before he hit it.

Police say Griffin sustained just minor injuries to his thumb and

knee.

He also complained of pain to his neck and back.

The crash happened late Sunday morning.
