Resurfacing of Johnson Road has been pushed back.

Originally...it was supposed to begin late this month or

early June.

Now...state highway officials have decided to close U.S 35 from

U.S 20 to Johnson Road.....the first week in June.

The purpose is to do replace culverts....

LaPorte County Commissioner Rich Mrozinski says the Johnson Road

resurfacing will have to wait until the work on U.S 35 is completed.....because

of U.S 35 being a major detour around Johnson Road....

Expect the Johnson Rd. resurfacing to start toward the end of June......

It'll take anywhere from two to four weeks to complete.
