There are mixed feelings if Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood came to Michigan City to

make a movie.

The movie would be about a Michigan City man who at 87 got arrested for transporting

cocaine for a Mexican drug cartel.

LaPorte County Convention and Visitors Bureau executive director Jack Arnett says the drug mule

was also a world renowned gardener....and a veteran of World War II.

He feels that combined with Eastwood being here and the good things happening in Michigan City

would mean more positive attention....

City councilman Johnny Stimley who's also a businessman.....says if a movie were made...he wishes

It would be about a local person not known for something negative like drug running.

Leo Sharp was 92 when he died in 2016.

According to various sources....the cartel he made several deliveries for is associated with

El Chapo.

Reports indicate no decision has been official yet on whether the movie will be produced
