A Michigan City man with a long criminal history was taken into custody Tuesday on allegations of selling guns.

Faheem Pasha, 38, is charged in U.S District Court at South Bend with felon in possession of a firearm.

The arrest stems from an investigation started January 12 by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives when information developed that Pasha was involved in the sale of firearms and narcotics, according to the criminal complaint.

He was later caught selling a .38 Special caliber revolver and a Taurus revolver for $350 from a home at 216 N. Ashland Ave. on the city's east side, according to the complaint.

The investigation also revealed Pasha had more guns along with ammunition and kept some, if not, all of his stock in a bedroom safe.

He was also expecting another delivery of marijuana to begin selling very soon, authorities said.

According to federal investigators, Pasha has more than 17 prior arrests that include a 2001 conviction and 10-year prison sentence for dealing cocaine.

He also has five separate criminal cases filed since May undecided in LaPorte Superior Court 4.

Those cases involve offenses like battery, resisting law enforcement and residential entry, according to court records.
