The county commissioners are vowing to look into

problems many people are having with their brand new

police scanners.

Since the new digital radio system for emergency personnel was activated

over a month ago.....many people have bought expensive

new scanners but are not picking up the signal......or they're having problems

with signals breaking up....

Commission president Rich Mrozinski says he's heard the

complaints....and efforts are being made to solve the problem.....

Some people believe the problems rests with the transmitting towers

being out of alignment.

But...some blame scanners either not programmed right or lacking the quality

to pick up the signal consistently.

Dead zones are much more extensive in the city of LaPorte and east toward

Rolling Prairie and north in the Heston area.
