He's gone from best man to suspect in the molesting of the groom's six-year old son.

That's according to an investigation resulting in Timothy Haigh being charged with three counts of child molesting.

Haigh, 31, of Chicago was arraigned Friday in LaPorte Circuit Court on two Level 1 felony counts and a level 4 felony count.

According to court documents, Haigh was the best man in the wedding of the alleged victim's father.

They were also co-workers.

According to court documents, Haigh was allowed to regularly stay at the boy's home in Westville so he wouldn't have to commute every day to his job from Chicago.

Eventually, police said the boy told his sister he was being violated by Haigh during his overnight stays at their residence.

It's also alleged Haigh was captured September 30 on surveillance video crawling into bed with the boy.

The camera installed by the boy's father had night vision capabilities allowing Haigh's movements with the boy in the bottom bunk to be seen despite the room being dark, according to court documents.

Haigh allegedly crawled out of the bed 10 minutes later and climbed into the top bunk.

Both of the most serious counts each could bring a 20 to 40 year sentence.

Haigh was ordered held on $100,000 bond.
