drivers asked to respect farm vehicles

The traveling public statewide is being asked to respect heavy farm machinery on

the roads.

More and more tractors and farm implements will be hitting the roads

with the fall harvest upon us.

The Indiana State Department of Agriculture has waged a campaign to try and reduce

farm vehicle related crashes..

LaPorte County Sheriff John Boyd says drivers need to pay full attention

and give farm vehicles plenty of space.......

According to federal statistics....more than 80 fatalities occurred nationwide

last year in crashes involving tractors and other farm machinery.
