It looks like the annual Maple City Grand Prix will have its best weather yet

this weekend.

The tunnel boat racing has been plagued in previous year by chilly temperatures

and even fog at times.

All weekend...the weather man says it'll be sunny with 90 degree

temperatures.

Park department superintendent Mark Schreiber says it's NASCAR on water

yet better....

All of the racing will occur Saturday and Sunday with testing of the course

starting at about nine o'clock each morning.

The boat parade and block party downtown is tomorrow late in the

afternoon.
Thaddeus Cutler, one of the coordinators of the race, said the weather if forecasts hold true could produce record crowds for an event plagued before by chilly temperature and even fog.
